Blood+ My first foray into Anime

So, I claim to be a geek, but I have never actually seen a real anime. Well leave it to Netflix to solve that problem for me. I decided to finally give it a go and after a few drinks decided on the series Blood+. Wow was I surprised. I loved this series and even more surprising, my wife came into the room and loved it as well. She as well has never seen an anime show and she is not the type of girl that you would expect to watch anime. Since watching this series, I have checked out two more series which I have loved. I guess you can say I might possible be an anime lover now which totally surprises me. I will write something about those other two series later. But as for now I am off to watch Back to the Future again, one of the best films of all time, or at least that's what I think.

Christian Slater

Had myself a good old fashioned Netflix marathon today. You know because I haven't had one in a while and for some reason every single movie I watched had Christian Slater in it. I have had similar things happen before where I would watch movies that had the same actor back to back, but today it was every single movie I watched today. Even right now, I am watching a Christian Slater movie. What makes this even funnier is that before I started my Netflix marathon today, I watched Star Trek VI, which if you didn't know has a Christian Slater cameo. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something like I should write in my blog more, since it has been forever since I have written on here. I know I should try to write on here more. Anyway, I must say that I love Max on the PS3 for Netflix and he always gives me great movie suggestions, like a few Slater movies today, others, I just picked and didn't realize. So anyway, i dedicate this blog post to Christian Slater who will probably never see this post. I love your acting man and think your a cool dude and would love to see you in even more movies. You are really a great actor and stand up guy in my book. And Netflix, keep working on Max because I love his.

Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since I have wrote something.

So It has been a busy summer, I will grant myself that, with me studying for and passing the bar. But now I think I should write some review of a movie. The hard part thought is picking a film or show that I would like to review, however, I think I may have something.

During my busy time studying, I decided that i wanted to watch the show Breaking Bar during study breaks. Now up till this point, I had never seen a single episode of the show. When I watched the first episode, I have to admit that the show didn't have me hooked right away, nor did the next three episodes, but I powered through. Then something magical happened, it is like all the time I was powering through the first episodes, a story came together and I suddenly felt invested in the series and the Characters. Needless to say, watching the episodes on Netflix, it didn't take me long to get caught up and in fact right after the exam, Netflix posted the last season before this one and I caught completely up before the first episode of this season aired. Now I watch the episodes as they air and cannot get enough. I can't believe that the last episode is airing this coming week. I know that I will be sad to see all the story lines come to an end. Indeed AMC has been doing a nice job of already wrapping up characters stories, but I really can't wait to see what they have coming next for Walter White, his family and Jesse.

Breaking Dawn (Not the Twilight Movie)

First off, this is not like the Twilight movie at all. In fact this is a very interesting movie that has an ending that you probably will not guess. I am usually pretty good at figuring out what will happen in a movie like this and I had it pegged wrong right from the beginning and never got it right. The movie has only one actor that I recognize in it and he is not playing a large role at all. The rest of the actors though are quite talented and make this movie a great watch. Check it out on Netflix sometime.

I finally watched the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie,

So here is the deal. I actually avoided this movies because I thought the original three were good length to stand with, in fact. I would say that three is the prefect number of movies for this series, just like I think the number of Star Wars Movies should have been (although, I can't wait to see the next three Star Wars and hoping they follow the extended universe). However, after seeing this fourth incarnation, I can't wait to see the fifth movie (which is now filming). Somehow the producers manage to get around all the characters that were lost between the third and fourth movie without hurting the fourth movie. I actually thoroughly enjoyed this outing and because of it I am more likely to see the fifth in Theaters than I was to see the fourth, (a movie that I intentionally avoided in theaters). So Hats off to you Disney for keeping a franchise alive even when I thought that it could not be done.

From iPhone to Android

So this week I got off the iPhone wagon and hoped on the Android train with a Samsung Galaxy S3. I would like yo say thay I know the S4 is out but I went with the S3 for my own reasons namely that the memory isn't taken up completly by pre-installed programs. So far I am living it and it will take a miracle for me to move back. It is so easy to use and I love the features so much better. Over all it is a much better deal than am iPhone. All I can say is that Apple will have to do something truly amazing for me to go back to them. I am now an android fan. As for computers Apple still has me there as Windows 8 is horrible and will need to do a lot to convince me otherwise. Maybe if they gave me a free computer I could give it a chance but I had such a bad science with Windows 8 I won't go back on my own. So I am stuck with Apple or Linux, both are great in my opinion.

Under the Dome

So I am sitting here watching this new CBS show and I have to admit that I tuink it is really good. The whole concept of a cuty population being trapped in a dome is very intriguing. But I think that this series can equate with ABCs Once Upon a Time. If you think about it the concept is the same a town that is trapped in some way with the citizens unable to leave. However this show definitly in my opunion takes its cue from The Simpsons Move where Rex Carlile decides to trap the city of springfield under a dome because it is the kost pouluted city in the US. In conclusion I will probably watch thia show but the entire time will be thinking how this is a Simpsons ripoff
